Vikings claim RB Rosenfels off waivers
He was signed by Minnesota in 2009 and was expected to vie for the starter's job until the Vikings signed Brett Favr The Minnesota Vikings claimed quarterback Sage Rosenfels on waivers Friday.
Rosenfels was waived by the Miami Dolphins off the reserve/non-football illness list late Thursday evening. He has not played this season due to a lingering blood infection.

Favre: 'I'm enjoying retirement ... and have no plans to play football'
Brett Favre is finally getting the hang of this thing called retirement.
Despite numerous quarterbacks suffering injuries as of late, Favre posted on his website that he is not returning to the NFL.
“I'm Favre, 42, has left the game on two separate occasions, only to come back each time.
8220;I'm enjoying retirement with my family and have no plans to play football,” he wrote. “I 8220;I haven't contacted nor have I been contacted by any teams and all reports are inaccurate."

Report: Favre “would listen” if Bears call
Surprise, surprise: Brett Favre may not be ready to call it quits for good just yet. Favre has left the game on two separate occasions, only to come back each time. The report goes on to say that the Bears haven't contacted Favre, and likely won't.
