Chris Mortensen of ESPN reported that the Bears and Texans are not expected to put in a waiver claim for quarterback Donovan McNabb.
Fantasy Spin:
With With Chicago and Houston being the most quarterback-needy clubs in the league, it appears that the former stud could pass through waivers unclaimed. In that case, Minnesota would have to shell out the remainder of his $5.05M salary.

Vikings Agree To Release Donovan McNabb
The Vikings have agreed to release quarterback Donovan McNabb, according to Jason LaCanfora of the NFL Network.
McNabb was granted his request to be released as he has been relegated to third-string on Minnesotas depth chart and rookie Christian Ponder started the last five games at quarterback. Vikings QB Ponder to start next week
12 overall pick in this year's draft, Ponder has started seven straight games since Donovan McNabb was benche Minnesota Vikings coach Leslie Frazier said he is sticking with rookie Christian Ponder as his starting quarterback.
