Manning would be a terrible choice if you ask me. He's 8th in yards per attempt. He's got the 20th lowest INTs per attempt. His team is doing very well, his numbers on the other hand, have been pretty pathetic. I can't fathom why it would go to him.

Brees has pretty far and away the best numbers on an equally successful team as Manning's.

The only thing Favre really has going for him is only 6 INTs which is just sick, but that does not an MVP make.

I think it's Manning this year... although I don't think he deserved it last year or whenver he got it.  This year his team stinks and it's amazing they are undefeated with a new coach.

it's strange, the associated press has never given the award to a wide receiver... mostly quarterbacks/rbs... even a PLACEKICKER has won the award, but no WRs. sup with that?

... but to answer the question, brees. their offense is absolutely incredible. ppg on the season is sky high.
